Today saw the arrival of another Organic Tomato variety from Canara Farm - The Pineapple Beefsteak (Tomato Ananas). This is a large heirloom variety of slightly flattened beefsteak tomatoes with distinctive yellow and orange streaked skins. The flesh of Tomato Ananas is juicy and sweet with a slight citrus after-note and a thick, meaty texture. Each of these delicious fruits can weigh up to 500 gm.
We are offering a limited stock of these mixed with the Black Russian variety that we recently introduced. We also are receiving a small but regular supply of Canara Gold Cherry tomatoes and our Canara Farm Heritage Mixed cherry tomatoes, both of these are available in 500 gm punnets.
The Canara Farm mixed French Beans are proving very popular and are readily available at the moment as are the Quartro Cucumbers. We also have just received the first of crop of Cucamelons, these are tiny cucumbers that look like mini watermelons they have a pure cucumber taste with a slight hint of lime.
