Canara Farm’s Cucumis Sativus “Crystal Lemon Cucumber”.
Our first crop of Crystal Lemon Cucumbers from Canara Farm arrived yesterday afternoon. The Crystal Lemon Cucumber is also known as the Apple Cucumber, the name comes from their appearance not the taste or aroma. This yellow ridge cucumber is roughly the size of a tennis ball and has a sweet and juicy taste, it is also perfect for pickling.
This is the second of our heirloom Cucumber varieties to become available from Canara Farm with the Quartro Cucumber already becoming popular we hope to see this unusual looking cucumber popping up on menus in local kitchens.
