Our Suppliers| Firebrand Brewing
Hi and welcome to our local artisan and gifts range. In this regular blog series we take a closer look at our local artisan producers who reflect all that is special and unique to our region. Today we are delighted to highlight The Firebrand Brewing Company and introduce Joe Thomson.
“ Creating new recipes for all of the different beers we brew is my favourite part of the job. It’s really exciting to experiment with different flavours and we use all-natural ingredients to produce a modern and progressive style of beer. “
“ We created our Core Range because we are inspired by a variety of different styles and flavours. Graffiti was the first craft beer we brewed, and we were spray painting the branding, so we named it Graffiti. Patchwork Rocket Pale is named with synonyms for the hops that are used in the beer. “
“ Cans are more environmentally friendly and also help to keep the beer tasting better because it doesn’t allow light and oxygen inside; this is why we can our craft beers. We have plans to move from our current farm location to a larger industrial unit in Launceston. We have outgrown our converted milking parlour and are really excited to open a new taproom and shop. “
“ Firebrand Brewing has something for everyone. The IPA’s are awesome with curry and other big, flavourful dishes. Coffee Stout is nice with a roast or even a chocolate dessert and our lager goes really well with fish and chips because it’s super crisp and refreshing. “
“ We are new to WestCountry and we like how they have a great connection to local people; their ranges carry a lot of high-quality products. As the head brewer and managing director for The Firebrand Brewing Co, my dream job is running my own brewery, so I guess I’m living the dream. “
